NotebookLM is useful when you have PDFs, websites or other source material and want to ask questions about that material. Its strength is that the study session begins from the sources you provide rather than an open-ended chat.

Knowt — flashcards from files
Knowt can create flashcards and revision material from PDFs and notes. Its free plan includes core study modes with limits on AI usage. The service states a minimum age of 13 and requires verifiable parent or guardian consent before AI functionality is used by someone under 18.
We do not present it as a direct Primary-school tool. For minors, always check the service’s current consent process.
Quizlet — when revision is the main goal
If you already have terms, dates, vocabulary or short definitions, Quizlet can be more direct than a chatbot. Younger users receive a more restricted experience, so account and feature availability should be checked.
